Learning About Number

Children learn early mathematical skill and concepts throughout the nursery – working with sand and water, weighing baking ingredients, counting grapes at snack time for example.

We also focus particularly on developing counting skills when the children brush their teeth, matching numbers of children to dots of toothpaste, and by singing number rhymes and songs.
