About Eco-Schools

Stanwell Nursery School is an ‘Eco-School’, an international intiative which recognises the work that schools undertake to improve the environment.  We are pleased to report that we have successfully achieved our second green flag.  More information about Eco-Schools can be found http://www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org/sustainable-development-education/eco-schools/

The children work very hard in nursery to help us maintain our Eco School status and are very proud of their work. We regularly litter pick in the garden, compost left-overs from snack and the new addition of the water butt in the garden means that we are now able to recycle water.
